6 Tips for your boudoir session | Evansville INdiana boudoir photographer

In case you missed it, I'm so excited to share the article I wrote for the winter issue of Love it Evv! Boudoir clients have a special place in my heart; these girls have so many amazing stories and want to see their true beauty shine through - for their significant others or for themselves! However, even the most confident girls can be a little nervous before the session. So, for that reason, I decided to write about some of my favorite tips for making the most out of your boudoir session!

1. Push yourself outside your comfort zone. It's worth it.

-You may walk into your session feeling nervous, but you’ll leave feeling comfortable and confident. All my Fearlessly Feminine clients say they’d want to do a Fearlessly Feminine session again! Also, take a nude picture. Your 80-year-old self will thank you later. :)

2. Choose lingerie that hugs your shape.

-This is so so important. Show off your curves... don't hide from them. Girl, you’re a babe!

3. Be suggestive. It's sexy.

-Don't be afraid to ask for what you want in an image. It's totally okay to put those ideas out there! Let your "bedroom" side shine through!

4. Pamper yourself. You're worth it!

-Get a facial a couple weeks prior to your shoot. Get a wax. Have your nails done. I believe your boudoir experience should start as soon as you book, so all Fearlessly Feminine sessions come with a pamper package.

5. Find a photographer you trust.

-Your images come out best when you're comfortable. Find a photographer you connect with so you can show off your most beautiful self. Research their work so when you come in for your session, you're confident in their ability to make you shine!

6. Don’t think of this as just a gift for your significant other.

-Your session is something you can do for YOU.

-Trust me: they’re going to love the images, but sometimes in life you get one of those moments where you get to have your cake and eat it, too. Boudoir is one of those occasions. So, celebrate the moment by enjoying it as a gift for you, too.
